The University of Alabama

Crossroads Community Center

Visioning Sessions (Focus Groups)

From November 2005 through April 2006, Crossroads Community Center held a series of focus groups called, "Visioning Sessions" to help assess needs regarding multicultural issues across campus. Participants were asked to depict the University of Alabama today and what they would like to see in three years. Because there are more than 21,000 students on campus, it is impossible to speak to everyone, but we wanted to get as many opinions as possible. These visioning sessions allowed the center to determine its role on campus and how we could best fulfill the intercultural needs of the University of Alabama community.
